Storyline:
Lia, a retired teacher, has promised to find her long-lost niece, Tekla. Her search takes her to Istanbul where she meets Evrim, a lawyer fighting for trans rights, and Tekla starts to feel closer than ever.

Crossing is an internationally co-produced drama film written, and directed by Levan Akin and produced by Mathilde Dedye. The film stars Mzia Arabuli, Lucas Kankava and Deniz Dumanlı.
In January 2023, it was announced Levan Akin had written and directed the film, with principal photography concluding in Istanbul.
The film had its world premiere on February 15, 2024, as part of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, opening Panorama. At Berlin, the film received the Jury Prize from the Teddy Award jury for LGBTQ-themed films
Mubi acquired distribution rights to the film in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Latin America.
Crossing was released in Sweden on March 22, 2024, by TriArt Film. It was released in the United States on July 19, 2024.
