Storyline
While investigating a terroristic threat that goes viral online, Korean authorities discover that a suspect has recently boarded an international flight bound for the United States. When a healthy passenger on the same flight suddenly dies a gruesome death of unknown cause, panic erupts both in-flight and on the ground. With steadily decreasing fuel and international refusals to offer aid, the captain and crew will be forced to take unprecedented emergency measures in an attempt to save the lives of their passengers.

- The airplane set was made by airlifting the entire waste plane from the United States. The motif of the early model of the Boeing 777, was used to create a set. With the help of a gimbal with a diameter of 7 meters and a length of 12 meters, it was made to rotate at 360-degree rotation.
- Emergency Declaration premiered out of competition at the 74th Cannes Film Festival on July 16, 2021, before being released theatrically in South Korea on August 3, 2022. The film was screened in various formats, including on a 4DX screen combining 4DX and ScreenX in addition to IMAX. It was released in the United States on August 12, 2022, and in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia on August 4.
