About Devara: Part 1 Movie

Devara: Part 1 is a Telugu action drama film written and directed by Koratala Siva. It is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr in dual roles, alongside Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko. It is the first part of a planned duology and marks the Telugu cinema debut of Kapoor.
In February 2020, N. T. Rama Rao Jr and Trivikram Srinivas were reported to be collaborating on a second film, following Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018), tentatively titled NTR30.
In April 2021, it was reported that Rama Rao and Siva would collaborate on NTR30, marking their second collaboration after Janatha Garage (2016).
The film was officially announced on Ugadi (13 April 2021) with Yuvasudha Arts producing the film in collaboration with N. T. R. Arts. However, production was delayed due to Siva’s commitments to Acharya and Rama Rao’s to RRR.
By November, Siva started the pre-production works of the film with production set to begin in early 2023.
The film was officially launched on 23 March with a puja ceremony held in Hyderabad with the presence of the cast and crew and S. S. Rajamouli preceding with the muhurtam shot.
Principal photography commenced on 1 April 2023 in Hyderabad, with Rama Rao in attendance, while Janhvi and Khan joined the sets in mid-April.
The film’s title, Devara, was officially announced on 19 May 2023, the eve of Rama Rao’s birthday. On 4 October, Siva announced that the film would be split into two parts.
Rama Rao trained with expert swimmers from Mumbai for this particular schedule. In September, some of the sequences were shot at a specially constructed beach set in Shamshabad.
Filming wrapped in August 2024. Filming took place in Hyderabad, Shamshabad, Visakhapatnam, Goa, and Thailand.
According to cinematographer Rathnavelu, the film featured 3000 CG shots.
The film was released in standard, IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, D-Box, MX4D and ICE formats.
The film was split into two parts, one being Devara: Part 2, and shooting could start in 2026. The film will focus on Devara’s family.

The film`s backdrop is centered around the far and forgotten coastal lands of India.The people,or rather the villains,in the film neither fear death nor god and there is no sense of humanity among them. Devara changes this scenario in his inimitable style.
Devara: Part 1 Movie Release Date
Devara: Part 1 was theatrically released on 27 September 2024 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The film was originally announced with a release date on 5 April 2024, coinciding with the weekend of Ugadi. However, it was pushed to 10 October 2024, during Dusshera navaratri, due to the extensive post-production and VFX works, before being moved to its earlier release date.
Netflix acquired the digital distribution rights for the film for a reported ₹155 crore (US$18 million). The movie premiered on the platform after a 7–8 week theatrical window, starting from 8 November 2024. It was made available in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The English dubbed version started streaming on 21 November 2024, followed by the Hindi dubbed version on 22 November 2024.

Devara: Part 1 was made on an estimated budget of ₹200–300 crores, backed by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banner of Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts.

Before its release, the film made a business of nearly ₹180 crore (US$21 million) from its theatrical rights.
The film grossed ₹132 crore (US$15 million) worldwide on its opening day, becoming Jr. NTR’s second-biggest opener after RRR.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the film grossed over ₹521 crore (US$61 million) within 18 days of its release. However, Pinkvilla reported a global gross of ₹403.83 crore near the end of its theatrical run. Meanwhile, Daily News and Analysis stated that the film wrapped up its final run with a total collection of ₹420 crore (US$49 million).
