About The Return Movie:
The Return is a historical drama film directed by Uberto Pasolini from a screenplay by John Collee, Edward Bond, and Uberto Pasolini. The film stars Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche, Charlie Plummer, Marwan Kenzari, and Claudio Santamaria.
The film is a retelling of Homer’s Odyssey by Edward Bond, John Collee, and Pasolini.
The film marks the first time Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche appeared in the same project since the 1996 Oscar winner The English Patient.
The project was announced in April 2022. Production of the film began in Greece in the spring of 2023, with principal photography in the regions of Corfu and the Peloponnese, before continuing on to locations in Italy. Filming had wrapped in Corfu by June 2023.
The Return premiered in the Gala section at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, and will be theatrically released in the United States on December 6, 2024, by Bleecker Street.
