Max has released the first teaser trailer for its highly anticipated Dune prequel series, ‘Dune: Prophecy‘. Set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, the six-episode series delves into the formative years of the Bene Gesserit sisterhood as they harness their extraordinary powers and influence throughout the Imperium.
The intriguing trailer, unveiled during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York City, offers a glimpse into the untold story of two Harkonnen sisters and their pivotal role in shaping the future of humankind. Fans are already speculating about the appearance of actress Tabu, who has been confirmed to join the star-studded cast.
Dune: Prophecy boasts an impressive ensemble, including Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin. The series is set to premiere this fall, following the massive success of ‘Dune: Part Two’ which grossed an impressive $710 million at the global box office.
Alison Schapker serves as showrunner and executive producer, while Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and also holds the executive producer title. Anna Foerster directs multiple episodes, including the pilot, and executive produces alongside Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts. Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert represent the Frank Herbert estate as executive producers, with Kevin J. Anderson co-producing the series.
