Mr. Bachchan ShowReel Out: Promises an Intense Action-Packed Remake of the Hindi Hit ‘Raid’

The first glimpse of the upcoming Telugu film Mr. Bachchan has been released, and it promises an intense and action-packed adaptation of the 2018 Hindi blockbuster Raid. Starring mass action hero Ravi Teja in the lead role, the film is a collaboration between the actor and director Harish Shankar, who have previously worked together on hits like Shock and Mirpakay.

The dialogue-free showreel showcases Ravi Teja in an angry, no-nonsense avatar as a government official conducting high-stakes raids. The carefully edited visuals hint at gripping face-offs, particularly between Ravi Teja and veteran actor Jagapathi Babu, who appears to be playing the antagonist. The showreel also features the film’s female lead, Bhagyashri Borse, making her Tollywood debut.

While the original Raid starred Ajay Devgn, the Telugu adaptation sees Ravi Teja stepping into the shoes of the government officer, with his look and mannerisms inspired by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, giving the film the tagline “Naam Tho Suna Hoga.” Director Harish Shankar has made significant changes to the original storyline to better suit the Telugu audience, promising new twists and turns.

The technical crew of Mr. Bachchan includes notable talents such as cinematographer Ayananka Bose, music composer Mickey J Meyer, and action choreographers Ram Laxman and Pruthvi. The film is produced by Panorama Studios, People Media Factory, and T-Series. The official release has not been announced yet, stay tuned for a release date, trailer, and more updates.
