Storyline:

Super30 is based on the remarkable true life story of India’s genius mathematician Anand Kumar who was born into a very poor family in the Indian state of Bihar. Anand inducts 30 highly underprivileged but academically bright students into his ‘Super 30’ programme every year and coaches them free of cost in an efficiently designed course students to help them crack India’s toughest entrance examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The film captures the trials and tribulations of Anand’s life and the challenges he faced in order to set up his ‘Super 30’ institute. It is an inspirational story of his struggle and achievement, and how one man makes a difference in the lives of underprivileged students.

Super 30 is a Hindi biographical drama film about the life story of India’s genius mathematician Anand Kumar, who develops an educational program of the same title. The film was directed by Vikas Bahl and written by Sanjeev Dutta and starring Hrithik Roshan, Nandish Sandhu, Virendra Saxena, Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aditya Srivastava.

Hrithik Roshan had hired a trainer from Bhagalpur to get his Bihari accent right.

Principal photography of the film began in January 2018 and ended in September 2018. The film was shot at Ramnagar Fort; part of the fort was converted to look like the Super 30 Institute. The film was also shot for ten days in Sambhar Lake Town which was shown as Kota, Rajasthan, and Jaipur. It was shot at Banaras Hindu University at the end of June 2018.

Akshay Kumar was also approached for the film as the second choice after narrating the script to Hrithik Roshan.

The first-look posters of Hrithik Roshan from Super 30 were unveiled on September 5, 2018, to coincide with Teacher’s Day in India. A second poster with a new release date was revealed on January 12, 2019. Another look of Hrithik Roshan from the film was unveiled in a new poster on June 2.

Super 30 was released theatrically on July 12, 2019. The film received positive reviews from critics, with Hrithik Roshan’s performance drawing particular praise.

Super 30 collected ₹11.83 crore from India, and ₹6.18 crore from overseas on the opening day. The film grossed ₹172.84 crore from India and ₹36.09 crore from overseas, the film has grossed ₹208.93 crore worldwide.
