Storyline:
Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Bangladesh genocide, The Diary of West Bengal follows the journey of Suhasini, a Hindu widow whose husband was killed during the genocide. Seeking safety, Suhasini joins a group of widowed and destitute women on a perilous journey from Bangladesh to Bengal, where many of her companions perish along the way.
Upon reaching Kolkata, West Bengal, Suhasini becomes a victim of “love jihad” and faces severe religious discrimination. The film portrays her witnessing the exploitation of foreign nationals as votebanks by the West Bengal government. Determined to expose these political manipulations, Suhasini sets out to compel the Indian government and human rights organizations to take action.
