Storyline:
Set in the summer of 1986, the film follows three sixteen-year-old friends who spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local Cineplex. When one of the guys invites the girl of his dreams to see an R-rated film, all hilarity breaks loose, as a self-important theater manager and teen rivalries interfere with his best-laid plans.

Filming occurred at the end of August 2023, receiving approval during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. It was filmed at Smodcastle Cinemas, a New Jersey movie theater that Smith co-owns.
The 4:30 Movie was released on September 13, 2024, by Saban Films.
Saban Films acquired the distribution rights, and a tour is planned to run throughout the summer across the United States, followed by a nationwide release.
