Storyline:
When IC 814 gets hijacked on its way to Delhi, hundreds of lives are at stake as the country faces its longest and most alarming aviation crisis.
About Series:
IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is a Hindi crime thriller mini-series that dramatizes the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814. Directed by Anubhav Sinha and written by Adrian Levy and Trishant Srivastava, the series is produced by Sarita Patil and Sanjay Routray under Matchbox Shots and Benaras Mediaworks. The ensemble cast includes Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Vijay Varma, Dia Mirza, and Arvind Swamy.
Announced in February 2024, the series debuted its trailer on August 19, 2024, and premiered globally on Netflix on August 29, 2024.
