Storyline:
The film is based on the landmark novel by Juan Rulfo, in which a man embarks on a journey to find his father, Pedro Páramo, in a town doomed by violence and the fury of a frustrated love.

Pedro Páramo is a Mexican fantasy mystery drama film directed by Rodrigo Prieto in his feature directorial debut. It is based on the 1955 novel by Juan Rulfo. The film stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Tenoch Huerta, Ilse Salas, and Mayra Batalla.
In August 2021, Netflix announced it was developing a feature adaptation of Pedro Páramo. In May 2023, it was revealed that filming had begun, with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo cast as the titular character and Tenoch Huerta as Juan Preciado. Filming concluded by August 2023, at which point the film entered post-production.
Pedro Páramo had its world premiere in the Platform Prize section at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, and was released worldwide on Netflix on November 6, 2024.
