Storyline:
It is the 1990s, the tape-cassette is dying, CDs will soon be the rage and a regular arranged marriage will turn out to be a perfect mismatch. Prem (Ayushmann Khurrana) is a shy music buff who runs a tape recording shop in Haridwar. Sandhya (Bhumi Pednekar) likes to dance to the band tunes at her own wedding. He has nightmares about drawing a blank at his English exam. She is about to carve a niche for herself as a teacher. But now, they are married and they are supposed to spend a lifetime together – and he is still trying to find balance on their scooter ride together. From overcoming his fear of the English language to dealing with an overbearing father, he discovers that his oversized wife, who he thought was a spanner in his spool, will lead him to something quite cool.—Official source

Dum Laga Ke Haisha, internationally known as My Big Fat Bride, is a Hindi romantic comedy-drama film crafted by writer-director Sharat Katariya. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, who makes her debut, alongside Sanjay Mishra and Seema Pahwa in prominent roles. The background score is composed by Italian musician Andrea Guerra.
The film premiered on February 27, 2015, receiving positive reviews from critics. It grossed ₹42 crore (approximately $5 million) in India within five weeks and celebrated a successful 50-day theatrical run on April 16, 2015. The final worldwide earnings reached ₹71.85 crore (around $8.6 million).
Dum Laga Ke Haisha garnered five nominations at the 61st Filmfare Awards, winning two: Best Female Debut for Pednekar and Best Cinematography. The song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage,” featuring lyrics by Varun Grover and vocals by Papon and Monali Thakur, received three nominations. Additionally, the film was awarded the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. It draws inspiration from the 2010 Marathi film Agadbum, which itself is loosely based on the 2006 Telugu movie Kithakithalu, making it an uncredited remake of these films.
