Storyline:

The film revolves around Sahiba (Aishwarya Rai), a college student from a traditional family who lies to her father about being married to avoid an arranged marriage. She meets Captain Karan Khanna (Abhishek Bachchan), an army officer who rescues her from some attackers. Karan accompanies Sahiba to her family estate, where he is mistaken for her husband and welcomed by the family, except her angry father Yogi (Amrish Puri).

As Karan gets drawn into the family’s warmth, he realizes that Sahiba has fallen for him, even though he is in love with another girl named Nisha back home. Karan leaves Sahiba, only to find out that Nisha has married someone else. Meanwhile, Sahiba is forced into an engagement with Vicky (Akshay Anand), the son of a family friend, who turns out to be a murderer. In the climax, Karan returns to save Sahiba and defeat the villains.

Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, released in 2000, was the first film that featured the real-life couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai together on screen. It was a romantic drama directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by K. Pappu. The movie also starred Salman Khan and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles.
