About Movie:

The Matrix Revolutions is the third installment in the Matrix series, written and directed by the Wachowskis. Released just six months after The Matrix Reloaded, the film stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, Jada Pinkett Smith, Monica Bellucci, Lambert Wilson, and Mary Alice, who replaced the late Gloria Foster as the Oracle.

Filming took place concurrently with The Matrix Reloaded and the live-action scenes for the video game Enter the Matrix, primarily at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia. Key sequences, such as the subway scenes, were shot in the unused tunnels of St James railway station, while the final scene featuring the Oracle and the Architect was filmed at the Royal Botanic Garden. During production, Carrie-Anne Moss sustained an ankle injury while shooting in Australia.

Released on November 5, 2003, across 108 territories, The Matrix Revolutions made history as the first live-action film to be simultaneously released in both regular and IMAX theaters.

The movie grossed $427.3 million worldwide, making it the eighth-highest-grossing film of the year. Despite its commercial success, it received mixed reviews from critics, with Metacritic offering a range of responses and Rotten Tomatoes criticizing its emphasis on special effects over character development.

Though Revolutions concluded the original trilogy, the Matrix storyline continued in The Matrix Online video game. A fourth film, The Matrix Resurrections, began production in 2020 and was released on December 22, 2021.
