Storyline:

Set in a small village, the film follows Balu, a passionate fan of Nandamuri Balakrishna. Balu owns an old cinema theater that has seen better days and has been reduced to screening adult films to survive. Balu dreams of reviving his theater’s glory by screening a Balakrishna movie, but his journey is fraught with obstacles. The film explores Balu’s struggles and the lengths he goes to in order to fulfill his dream. The narrative emphasizes the impact of cinema on rural communities and the challenges faced by small theater owners.

Balu Gani Talkies is an upcoming Telugu comedy-drama film written and directed by Viswanath Pratap. The film stars Shiva Ramachandra Varapu and Saranya Sharma in the lead roles.

Produced by Srinidhi Sagar, P.Rupak Pranav Tej, and Gudimitla Siva Prasad, the film’s music is composed by Smaran.

The project was announced during a special segment on Telugu Indian Idol (Season 3), where the release date was also revealed.

According to reports, the release date of Balu Gaani Talkies has been postponed. It was originally scheduled to stream on Aha starting September 13, 2024.
