Storyline:
The story revolves around two close friends, Surya (Darshan) and Adi (Aditya). Surya is a poor young man who falls in love with Lakshmi (Lakshmi Rai), the daughter of a wealthy man, Rajeev Kumar. Meanwhile, Adi, the son of another affluent businessman, Raghunath Rao (Rangayana Raghu), falls in love with Sindhu (Sindhu Tolani), a girl from a poorer background. Their wealthy fathers disapprove of these relationships and devise a plan to separate the couples, intending for Adi to marry Lakshmi instead.
As the plot unfolds, misunderstandings arise, particularly when Raghunath Rao uses morphed photographs to manipulate Adi’s perception of Surya and Sindhu’s relationship. The film explores the themes of friendship, love, and the societal pressures that come with class differences.
About Movie:
Snehana Preethina is a Kannada film directed by Shahuraj Shindhe. It is a remake of the 1997 Hindi film Ishq, which starred Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla, and Kajol. The film features a cast that includes Darshan, Aditya, Sindhu Tolani, and Lakshmi Rai.
Upon its release, Snehana Preethina received mixed reviews. Critics noted that while the film had a good premise, it suffered from a poor script and slow narration. The performances of Darshan and Aditya were generally well-received, but the supporting performances, particularly those of Sindhu Tolani and Lakshmi Rai, did not impress as much. The music composed by V. Harikrishna was highlighted as a positive aspect, although its placement in the film was criticized.
