Storyline:

Described as New York City’s finest date doctor, suave matchmaker Alex “Hitch” Hitchens can guarantee that any man can get the girl of his dreams if he overcomes his fears and follows his infallible advice. And then, timid accountant Albert Brennaman enters the picture. As the hopeless man enlists the doctor’s help to catch the attention of beautiful heiress Allegra Cole, something unexpected happens: Hitch discovers inquisitive gossip columnist Sara Melas, his dream match. Now, the self-assured charmer must put his expertise to good use to make it happen. However, can the silver-tongued romance expert survive love’s delicate complications?

About Movie:

Hitch is an American romantic comedy directed by Andy Tennant and written by Kevin Bisch. Will Smith stars as the titular character, with Eva Mendes, Kevin James, and Amber Valletta in supporting roles.

Originally titled The Last First Kiss, the film’s working title reflects a key line delivered by Hitch to Albert: “Tomorrow night Allegra Cole could have her last first kiss.”

Filming occurred from March to July 2004 in various New York City locations, including Morningside Heights, Columbia University, Ellis Island, the Fulton Fish Market, Wall Street’s Bull, and North Cove Marina.

Released by Columbia Pictures on February 11, 2005, Hitch received positive reviews from critics and became a box office success, grossing $371.6 million worldwide and ranking as the tenth highest-grossing film of 2005.
