Storyline:
Helen, who embarks on a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to the dangerous and shadowy London underworld, Helen’s employer’s call in Sam to protect her.
About Series:
The project was announced by Netflix in April 2023, with Barton producing through Noisy Bear, alongside production company Sister.
Filming began in London in October 2023. That month, Sarah Lancashire and Ben Whishaw joined the cast, along with Andrew Buchan, Omari Douglas, Andrew Koji, Kathryn Hunter, Sam Troughton, Ella Lily Hyland, Adam Silver, Ken Nwosu, and Gabrielle Creevy. In March 2024, Adeel Akhtar, Tracey Ullman, Finn Bennett, and Luther Ford were added to the cast.
Black Doves premiered on Netflix on December 5, 2024. In August 2024, Netflix renewed the show for a second season ahead of its premiere.
