The anticipation for Pushpa 2: The Rule is reaching a fever pitch as fans eagerly await its release on December 5, 2024. Apart from the original Telugu language it will also be dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam languages. The film, directed by Sukumar, boasts an impressive cast, including Allu Arjun in the titular role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj. However, the staggering salaries of its star cast have caught the public’s attention even more than the film’s plot.

According to sources Allu Arjun’s fee is estimated to be 30 times higher than that of his co-stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil combined, showcasing his immense popularity and star power.

Allu Arjun, reprising his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, has reportedly secured a jaw-dropping salary of ₹300 crore (approximately $36 million) for his role in Pushpa 2. This makes Allu Arjun the highest-paid actor in the country, surpassing top South Indian stars like Thalapathy Vijay, Rajinikanth, Prabhas, Ajith Kumar, and Kamal Haasan. He also exceeds the earnings of Bollywood megastars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar.

The report highlights that leading actors command substantial fees, with Vijay earning Rs 130 crore to Rs 275 crore per film, and Rajinikanth charging between Rs 125 crore to Rs 270 crore. Prabhas reportedly earns Rs 100 crore to Rs 200 crore per film, while Ajith Kumar’s remuneration for Thunivu ranged from Rs 105 crore to Rs 165 crore. Kamal Haasan’s fee for Indian 2 is said to be between Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore.

Rashmika Mandanna, who won hearts with her portrayal of Srivalli in the first installment, is reportedly earning ₹10 crore (around $1.2 million) for her role in the sequel. This significant increase from her previous earnings reflects her growing stature in the industry and her ability to draw audiences. Her chemistry with Allu Arjun and her captivating screen presence are expected to be key highlights of the film.

Fahadh Faasil returns as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat in Pushpa 2, commanding a salary of ₹8 crore (approximately $970,000). This figure marks a notable increase from his earnings for the first film, where he was paid around ₹3.5 crore.

The excitement doesn’t end with the lead actors. Sreeleela, known for her vibrant dance performances, is reportedly earning ₹2 crore (about $240,000) for a special dance number in Pushpa 2. Also, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, known for her performance in the hit song Oo Antava from the first Pushpa installment, was reportedly paid Rs 5 crore for her appearance.

Pushpa 2: The Rule Budget

Sukumar’s film Pushpa 2: The Rule was made with an estimated production budget of ₹400–500 crore. It’s remarkable that such a large-scale production, with a high-paying star cast, was accomplished within this budget. Additionally, sets replicating 1990s and 2000s Japan and Malaysia were constructed at Ramoji Film City. While the original plan was to shoot on location, scouting in Bangkok, Malaysia, and Japan revealed that budget and time constraints made it unfeasible.
