About Dear X TV Series
Dear X is a South Korean thriller romance series set to release in 2025 on TVING. Per the poster, it is co-directed by Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyun, written by Choi Ja-won (winner of the 2018 KBS One-Act Drama Script Contest), produced by Studio Dragon, Monster Union, and Siwoo Company, and adapted from Vanziun’s popular Naver webtoon of the same name.
As per a report on June 4, 2024, Kim Yoo-jung had received an offer and was weighing her options. By the next day, Kim Young-dae was re-thinking appearing. While Osen exclusively reported the two of them were teaming up to appear. As of June 25, according to a SPOTV News interview, Kim Do-hoon was in negotiations after receiving an offer for the series. The day after, Hwang In-youp got an offer and was confirmed for a special appearance.
TVING officially announced the main cast members – Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon, and Lee Yul-eum -on August 8, 2024. The series is expected to delve into themes such as identity, trauma, ambition, fame, and its avid consequences.
