Motorheads Storyline (Plot)
Motorheads is about first love, first heartbreak, and turning the key in your first car. Set in a once-thriving rust-belt town that’s now searching for a glimmer of hope, the series is an adrenaline-filled story of a group of outsiders who form an unlikely friendship over a mutual love of street racing, while navigating the hierarchy and rules of high school.

About Motorheads TV Series
Motorheads is an American coming-of-age drama television series created by John A. Norris.
Amazon Prime Video announced the series in November 2023, and it’s written and showrun by John A. Norris, who is also an executive producer alongside Jason Seagraves, Dana Brunetti, Keegan Rosenberger, and Jake Fuller (for Jax Media). Originally, the pilot was directed by Ruben Fleischer, but Neil Burger replaced him as the director and executive producer in March 2024. It’s produced by Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios, Ryan Zaragoza is a co-executive producer and the score is composed by Waz and Jamie Jackson.
The series’ cast includes Ryan Phillippe, Nathalie Kelley, Michael Cimino, and Melissa Collazo. In December 2023, Uriah Shelton was cast, followed by Drake Rodger, Johnna Dias-Watson, Josh Macqueen, and Mia Healey in recurring roles. In May 2024, Matt Lanter and Sophia Esperanza were cast in recurring roles as well. By April 2025 it was confirmed by Amazon MGM Studios that Nicolas Cantu was promoted to a main role.
Filming, originally planned for July–November 2023, was delayed due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Production officially began on March 25, 2024, in Toronto and wrapped up on July 22, 2024.
