Storyline:
Through the eyes of Imee Marcos, Maid in Malacañang chronicles the final days of the Marcos family before they were airlifted out of Malacanang and flown to Hawaii. Following the record-smashing success of its prequel, Martyr or Murderer recounts what happened to the family before and after the EDSA Revolution, a sneak peek to their life in exile, and a brave discussion on the intrigues surrounding Imee’s exploits in Morroco — did she really go into hiding and forge passports? How did her siblings cope with the sudden turn of events? How did the ailing patriarch and his Imeldific wife carry on with their lives after being stripped of power and dignity? Martyr or Murderer is a Filipino family drama film written and directed by Darryl Yap. Produced by Vincent del Rosario III and Veronique del Rosario-Corpus under the banner of VinCentiments and Viva Films. It is one of the trilogies and sequel/prequel to Maid in Malacañang (2022).
It stars Cesar Montano, Cristine Reyes, Diego Loyzaga, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Isko Moreno. Martyr or Murderer was theatrically released on March 1, 2023.
Martyr or Murderer is the second film in the Maid in Malacañang trilogy, which centers around the story of the Marcos family.
On November 7, 2022, Senator Imee Marcos confirmed that the sequel to Maid in Malacañang is in the works.
