About Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One Movie:

It is the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and is the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series.

Filming began on September 6, 2020, when McQuarrie started to publish pictures from the sets on Instagram and ended September 2021.

The film is scheduled to be released 27 years after the original film, Mission: Impossible (1996).

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, Tom Cruise revealed that the initially planned release date is set for 2021, with the eighth film penned for 2022.

The film’s working title was Libra.

When the movie is released on July 14th, 2023, Tom Cruise will have reached the age of 61.

This is the first time Tom Cruise and Cary Elwes starred in a movie together since Days of Thunder (1990).

Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames are the only actors who have appeared in all seven films in the series. Simon Pegg has been in every one since the third film.

This, along with its sequel Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two (2024), will be the first Mission: Impossible movie to shoot entirely in digital, unlike the first six movies which were shot on 35mm film.

With a budget of $290 million, this particular Mission: Impossible film holds the title for being the most expensive installment in the franchise as well as the most expensive film in Tom Cruise’s entire career.

The film features a yellow Fiat 500 as a reference to ‘Lupin III’. The sixth ‘Lupin III’ manga chapter parodied the ‘Mission Impossible’ TV series, and spoofs of the theme song played in Episodes 82 and 97 of ‘Lupin III Part 2’.

On October 26, 2020, production was halted in Italy after 12 people tested positive for COVID-19 on set.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was theatrically released in the United States on July 12, 2023, by Paramount Pictures. The film was previously set to be released on July 23, 2021, November 19, 2021, May 27, 2022, and September 30, 2022, before being delayed to July 14 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and production shutdowns.

A direct sequel, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, is set to be released on June 28, 2024.
