Storyline:

Alex Claremont-Diaz is the son of Ellen Claremont, the first female President of the United States, who is running for re-election. During his visit to the United Kingdom for a royal wedding, he has a physical altercation with Henry, a British prince. The incident is photographed and highly publicized with both parties forcing Alex and Henry to pretend to be friends with each other to prevent it from becoming a full-blown diplomatic and media crisis that would distract from Alex’s mother’s election bid. The two become close over time and develop a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship, eventually falling in love.

Red, White & Royal Blue is an American romantic comedy film directed by Matthew López in his feature film directorial debut, from a screenplay that he co-wrote with Ted Malawer.

This film is based on the 2019 novel of the same title, Red, White, and Royal Blue, by Casey McQuiston.

Principal photography for the film began in the United Kingdom in June 2022 and wrapped that August.

This is the second time where Nicholas Galitzine plays a prince. He previously played Prince Robert in Cinderella (2021).
