Storyline:
When an NYC cop (Adam Sandler) finally takes his wife (Jennifer Aniston) on a long-promised European trip, a chance meeting on the flight gets them invited to an intimate family gathering on the Super Yacht of elderly billionaire Malcolm Quince. When Quince is murdered, they become the prime suspects in a modern-day whodunit.

Principal photography on the film began on June 14, 2018 in Montréal. In late July 2018, filming began in Italy at locations including Santa Margherita Ligure, Lake Como, and Milan (where most of the scenes set in Monaco were shot) also using vehicles and uniforms of the Carabinieri.
Adam Sandler’s and Jennifer Aniston’s second film together. The first was Just Go with It (2011).
Andrea Bendewald, who plays Audrey’s customer in the salon, is Jennifer Aniston’s best friend.
This is the third film featuring Luke Evans and Gemma Arterton together following Clash of the Titans (2010) and Tamara Drewe (2010).
Murder Mystery was released on June 14, 2019, by Netflix. The film received mixed reviews from critics. A sequel ‘Murder Mystery 2’ was released by Netflix on March 31, 2023.
On June 18, 2019, Netflix reported that 30.9 million households watched Murder Mystery in the first 72 hours, the biggest opening weekend for a film in the company’s history.
