About Ace Movie
Ace is a Tamil romantic action crime comedy film written, directed, and produced by Arumuga Kumar. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Rukmini Vasanth in the lead roles, alongside Yogi Babu, Divya Pillai, Babloo Prithveeraj, B.S. Avinash, and Muthu Kumar in supporting roles.
On May 19, 2023, 7Cs Entertainment confirmed that they would collaborate with director Aarumuga Kumar and Vijay Sethupathi. Later that month, the film was officially announced with the tentative title #VijaySethupathi51, as it is the actor’s 51st film as a lead. The official title was revealed on May 17, 2024.
This is director Aarumuga Kumar and Vijay Sethupathi’s second movie together after Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren (2017).
Principal photography began in May 2023 and was completed by late November of the same year, with most of the filming taking place in Malaysia.
The film features songs composed by Justin Prabhakaran and a background score by Sam C. S. The first single, “Urugudhu Urugudhu,” was released on March 17, 2025, and has garnered over 7.1 million views on YouTube.
The title teaser for Ace was released on May 17, 2024, and has garnered over 1.8 million views on YouTube, while the official trailer, released on May 11, 2025, has also surpassed 5.8 million views.
