Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' Set to Clash with Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' at the Christmas Box Office

The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film “Pushpa: The Rise“, titled “Pushpa: The Rule“, is now aiming for a December 6, 2024 release. This sets the stage for a major box office clash between Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2” and Aamir Khan’s comeback film “Sitaare Zameen Par“.

The original plan was for “Pushpa 2” to be released on Independence Day 2024, but delays in shooting due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, which the production house, Mythri Movie Makers, wants to complete to ensure the best possible quality for the audience, the makers have now targeted the lucrative Christmas weekend for the film’s release.

This puts “Pushpa 2” directly in competition with Aamir Khan’s “Sitaare Zameen Par”, which is also slated for a Christmas 2024 release. Aamir Khan is making a comeback after the underwhelming performance of his last film “Laal Singh Chaddha”, and his Christmas releases have traditionally been blockbusters, with films like “Dhoom 3“, “PK“, and “Dangal” all performing exceptionally well.

It remains to be seen whether one of the films will opt to move its release date to avoid the clash, or if the two titans will go head-to-head during the lucrative Christmas period. Regardless, Indian cinema fans are in for a treat as two of the biggest stars in the country battle it out for box office supremacy.
