Storyline:

The film revolves around Murali, who returns to his ancestral palace along with his fiancée Anitha when his father lands in a coma under mysterious circumstances. His life takes a turn when he uncovers his family’s dark secrets with Ravi.

About Aranmanai 2 Movie:

Aranmanai 2 is a Tamil comedy horror film directed and co-written by Sundar C. It is the standalone sequel to the successful 2014 film Aranmanai and the second installment in the Aranmanai film series. The film stars Sundar, Siddharth, Trisha Krishnan, Hansika Motwani, Poonam Bajwa, Soori, Kovai Sarala, Manobala, Chitra Lakshmanan, and Radha Ravi.

The project’s progress was first officially revealed after Trisha Krishnan tweeted her involvement in the sequel and announced that she would star alongside Siddharth. Filming commenced in mid-June 2015 and concluded in November 2015.

The filmmakers created a huge 103-foot statue of the sleeping goddess Mariamman for a song sequence.

Aranmanai 2 was released on January 29, 2016, on more than 400 screens in Tamil Nadu. The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics.

The film grossed ₹16.08 crore in the first 3 days of its release. Director Sundar C stated that despite mixed reviews, Aranmanai 2 surpassed its predecessor financially.

The third installment titled Aranmanai 3, was released on October 14, 2021. The fourth installment titled Aranmanai 4, starring Sundar, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Raashii Khanna was released on May 3, 2024.
