Storyline:

Rakib is a housekeeper who caretakes an empty mansion belongs to Purna, a retired army general. One day, Purna returns home to run in the local mayoral election campaign. Rakib bonds with him and sees him as an exemplary father figure. When Purna’s election poster is vandalized, Rakib doesn’t hesitate to track down the culprit, kicking off an increasingly violent chain of events.

• The film’s script has been in development since 2017.
• Director Makbul Mubarak said that the title Autobiography stems from his personal relationship with his father when he was a child.
• Filming began on May 25, 2021, and concluded on July 1, 2021.
• Autobiography had its international premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2022. Additionally, the film was screened at several world film festivals, such as the Toronto International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Stockholm International Film Festival.
• Autobiography was released in Indonesia on January 19, 2023.
