Storyline:

A cantor in a crisis of faith finds his world turned upside down when his grade school music teacher re-enters his life as his new adult Bat Mitzvah student.

Between the Temples is an American comedy film directed by Nathan Silver, who co-wrote it with C. Mason Wells. The film stars Jason Schwartzman, Carol Kane, Dolly de Leon, Caroline Aaron, Robert Smigel, and Madeline Weinstein.

In May 2023, Schwartzman, Kane, and De Leon were confirmed to be starring in the film. Principal photography concludes in early 2023 with filming locations including Kingston, New York.

The film premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2024. It was also screened at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in the Panorama section. It was later also added to the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival lineup, which runs in New York City from June 5-16 2024.

Between the Temples was released on August 23, 2024.
