Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Wraps Up Shoot, Marking His Return to the Big Screen

Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par‘, has finally wrapped up its shoot. This marks the actor’s return to the big screen after a two-year hiatus since ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘ in 2022. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film also stars Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary.

The film’s director, RS Prasanna, took to his Instagram stories to announce the wrap-up, sharing a photo of a cake with the clapboard of the film and the text “It’s a wrap.” He also shared a heartfelt post expressing his gratitude to Aamir Khan, calling him a “terrific leader and protector.” Prasanna praised Aamir’s humility, passion, and ability to empower those around him, stating that he is an “amazing human being.”

The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and is expected to release later this year. ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is a spiritual sequel to Aamir’s 2007 blockbuster ‘Taare Zameen Par‘, which focused on Down syndrome. The new film aims to sensitively depict the challenges faced by people with the condition while sparking conversations about it.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is set to hit theaters on Christmas 2024, where it is expected to compete with Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Welcome To The Jungle‘ for the holiday season box office.
