Storyline:
Bailey lives with her brother Hunter and her father Bug, who raises them alone in a squat in northern Kent. Bug doesn’t have much time to devote to them. Bailey looks for attention and adventure elsewhere.

Bird is a British drama film written and directed by Andrea Arnold and starring Barry Keoghan, Nykiya Adams, and Franz Rogowski.
Principal photography took place in the south of England with filming locations including Gravesend, Dartford, Ashford, and Bean, Kent in June 2023. In July 2023 filming took place on the Isle of Sheppey.
Director Andrea Arnold used footage from this film to make the music video for the song “Bug” by Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. Bug is also the name of Barry Keoghan’s character in this film.
Bird premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 16, 2024, and was theatrically released in the United States and the United Kingdom by Mubi on November 8, 2024.
