Storyline:

Jeong-woo, once a straight-A student adored by his community and already accepted into medical school through early admissions, finds his life turned upside down the day after the national college entrance exam when he is arrested for the murder of two female classmates. Ten years later, now a 30-year-old man, Jeong-woo is released from prison after serving his sentence. Returning home to a completely changed town, he vows to leave and start a new life. However, strange occurrences and mysterious events prevent him from moving on.

About Black Out TV Series:

Black Out (Korean: 블랙아웃) is an ongoing South Korean mystery crime thriller television series directed by Byun Young Joo, and Lee Kyoo Man and written by Seo Joo Yeon. The series stars Byun Yo Han, Go Jun, Go Bo Gyeol and Kim Bo Ra in the lead roles.

The series is based on novel “Snow White Must Die” by Nele Neuhaus.

Filming for the series began in September 2021 and concluded on June 2022.

Black Out made its world premiere in the Rendez-Vous section of the 2024 Canneseries, where it was featured in the non-competitive section. The series quickly garnered global attention for its gripping storyline, exceptional direction, and strong performances.

MBC TV has announced that the series will begin airing on August 16, 2024, with episodes scheduled every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 (KST). Viewers can also stream it on Wavve and Coupang Play.
