Storyline:
A lazy beggar finds himself in trouble when a misadventure turns his life upside down. Will he be able to navigate through the ridiculous, strange and witty mix-ups happening around him?
About Movie:
In late September 2023, it was reported that Nelson Dilipkumar would make his debut as a film producer for a project directed by his associate, Sivabalan Muthukumar, with Kavin in the lead role. The official announcement on May 3, 2024, confirmed the project and revealed the technical crew, including cinematographer Sujith Sarang, editor R. Nirmal, composer Jen Martin, and art director Manimozhian Ramadurai.
Kavin, who previously worked as an associate to Nelson on Doctor (2021) and Beast (2022), plays the role of a beggar. The ensemble cast includes Maruthi Prakashraj, Sunil Sukhada, T. M. Karthik, Padam Venu Kumar, Arshad, Priyadarshini Rajkumar, Miss Saleema, Akshaya Hariharan, Anarkali Nazar, Dhivya Vikram, Tanuja Madhurapantula, Rohit Denis, Vidyuth Ravi, and Mohammed Bilal. The cast was introduced through a promotional video.
Principal photography began with a schedule in Mysore on December 10, 2023, followed by filming in Chennai. The shoot lasted 45 working days and wrapped in March 2024.
Bloody Beggar was released in theatres on October 31, 2024, coinciding with Diwali, alongside Amaran and Brother. Sun TV acquired the satellite rights, while Amazon Prime Video secured digital streaming rights. The film was made available for streaming on Prime Video on November 29, 2024.
