About Movie:

Clueless is a 1995 American coming-of-age teen comedy written and directed by Amy Heckerling, starring Alicia Silverstone, with supporting performances by Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, and Paul Rudd in his film debut. Produced by Scott Rudin and Robert Lawrence, the film is a loose adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma.

Filming began on November 21, 1994, over a 40-day schedule in Southern California. Director Amy Heckerling spent time observing students at Beverly Hills High School to capture the language and slang of 1990s teens. Brittany Murphy, then 17, required a guardian on set during filming.

The scene featuring The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, originally planned as an outdoor performance, had to be moved indoors due to rain. After filming wrapped, Paul Rudd gifted the cast and crew presents.

Clueless grossed $88 million worldwide and found additional success in the home video market. Praised by critics, the film is regarded as one of the best teen movies of all time and has since gained a cult following. Its lasting impact led to a spin-off television series and a series of books.
