About Cross TV Series:
Cross is based on the Alex Cross novel series by James Patterson, which began with the 1993 release of the first book. Since then, 31 additional novels, two novellas, and three books centered on Alex’s son, Ali, have been published. The character of Alex Cross has appeared in three films: Kiss the Girls (1997), Along Came a Spider (2001) (both starring Morgan Freeman as Cross), and Alex Cross (2012) (with Tyler Perry in the lead role).
On October 27, 2022, Prime Video greenlit a series adaptation, starring Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, who also serves as a producer. Ben Watkins is the showrunner and writer.
Filming for both seasons took place in Ontario, Canada, with Hamilton, Ontario, prominently featured.
A teaser trailer for Cross was released on May 14, 2024, followed by a full trailer in September. The series premiered on November 14, 2024, with all eight episodes of season one available on Amazon Prime Video.
On April 30, 2024, it was confirmed that the series had already been renewed for a second season.
