Storyline:

Dear Zindagi is a Hindi drama film written and directed by Gauri Shinde and starring Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead roles with Ira Dubey, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi, Ali Zafar, Yashaswini Dayama and Rohit Suresh Saraf in supporting roles.
It was produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, and Shinde under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions, and Hope Productions, respectively.
Development of the film began in 2015. Principal photography took place in Goa and Mumbai from January 21 to May 20, 2016.
Dear Zindagi was released on November 23, 2016, in North America, two days before its worldwide release on November 25, 2016. The film received positive reviews from critics, with particular praise directed towards the themes, direction, screenplay, dialogues, soundtrack, and performances, especially Bhatt and Khan’s performances.
The film earned a total of ₹94.67 crore in India and grossed ₹135.5 crore at the box office, thus emerging as a commercial success.
At the 62nd Filmfare Awards, Dear Zindagi received two nominations: Best Actress for Alia Bhatt and Best Lyricist for Kausar Munir for the song “Love You Zindagi.”
