‘Descendants: The Rise of Red’ Trailer: Showcasing New Characters and Musical Numbers
Disney+ has released the highly anticipated teaser trailer for ‘Descendants: The Rise of Red‘, the fourth in the Descendants franchise, being a spin-off of the previous three films. The new film follows Red, the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter, as they team up to travel back in time and prevent a catastrophic coup against Auradon.
The trailer introduces Kylie Cantrall as Red and Malia Baker as Chloe, along with a star-studded cast including Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, China Anne McClain as Uma, and Dara Reneé as Uliana. Brandy Norwood and Paolo Montalban reprise their roles as Cinderella and King Charming from the 1997 television adaptation of “Cinderella”.
Directed by Jennifer Phang, “Descendants: The Rise of Red” promises to deliver the signature music-driven storytelling that fans have come to love from the franchise. The film will feature seven original songs and a cover of “So This Is Love” from the classic “Cinderella” animated film.
Descendants: The Rise of Red will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on July 12, 2024, followed by a special encore on Disney Channel on August 9.
