Detective Ujjwalan was officially announced on September 3, 2024, and shooting for the film started on November 17, 2024. The film was shot across various locations in Palakkad district, including Kollengode, Nenmara, Shoranur, and Pattambi. Filming ended in December 2024 after one month of shooting.
