Dhulo is a story of a Nepalese father (Surya Bahadur), a cart puller living in slum who toils to raise his son (Marje Bahadur) giving better education despite all adversities and impoverished circumstances but his son wants to be a conductor (Khalasi). Will he emerge victorious? Dhulo is an illustration of a Nepalese labor class life style that is also socially isolated. The hardship people like Surya Bahadur in society have to go through to sustain and live their dream. The movie also depicts how detrimental society seizes the opportunities for labor class people to raise their standard of living.
