Storyline:
Amar Varma, a producer for Indian news radio, meets an enigmatic woman at a railroad station and then again at a hill station. He falls in love with her, but the woman, who calls herself Meghna, rejects and leaves him although she seems to be interested. Later, Varma agrees to marry his family’s choice, Preeti. But suddenly Meghna is back, and what is the secret that she holds?
About Movie:
Dil Se.. is a Hindi romantic thriller film co-written and directed by Mani Ratnam. The film features Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala in lead roles, with Preity Zinta making her film debut in a supporting role. Set against the backdrop of insurgency in Assam, Dil Se is the final installment in Ratnam’s trilogy that includes Roja (1992) and Bombay (1995).
Dil Se.. was released on October 21, 1998, and received mixed reviews from critics but was praised for its music and cinematography. It performed moderately well at the domestic box office while achieving significant success overseas, earning $975,000 in the United States and £537,930 in the United Kingdom. It became the first Indian film to enter the top 10 of the UK box office charts.
