Storyline:

Genetic researcher Han So-jin is sick of bad relationships. So she turns to her specialty – DNA research – in a bid to help her find her perfect match. By analyzing possible suitors’ DNA compatibility, she hopes to find a soulmate. The search leads her to two very different men: the obstetrician Shim Yeon-woo and the dashing but stubborn firefighter Seo Kang-hoon. As both fall for her, she soon realizes she has a decision to make. Will she be able to harness the power of genetics to determine who she should end up with? Or will she discover that love is the one thing she cannot study under a microscope?

About DNA Lover TV Series:

DNA Lover (Korean: DNA 러버) is a South Korean romantic comedy-drama television series starring Choi Si-won, Jung In-sun, Lee Tae-hwan, and Jung Yoo-jin. It was written by Jung Soo-mi and directed by Sung Chi-wook.

Choi Si-won and Jung In-sun were reportedly cast as the leads for the series in November 2023. Lee Tae-hwan joined the cast in January 2024, following his military discharge in December 2023, and Jung Yoo-jin was added in February 2024. TV Chosun officially confirmed the casting of all four actors in April 2024.

This marks Lee Tae-hwan’s first acting role since his discharge from the military on December 26, 2023.

DNA Love premiered on TV Chosun on August 17, 2024, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:10 (KST). It is also available for streaming on Viu and Viki in selected regions.
