Storyline:

Emily in Paris is an American romantic comedy-drama TV series created by Darren Star for Netflix. It stars Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, an ambitious marketing executive from the U.S. who relocates to Paris to offer an American perspective at a French marketing firm. The series also features Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, Camille Razat, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount in supporting roles.
It was produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and was originally developed for Paramount Network, receiving a straight-to-series order in September 2018. However, the series moved to Netflix in July 2020. On April 3, 2019, Lily Collins was officially cast in the lead role as the titular character.
Principal photography for the first season of Emily in Paris began in August 2019, taking place in Paris and its surrounding suburbs, with additional filming in Chicago in November 2019. Filming for the second season started on May 3, 2021, and concluded on July 19, 2021. Production on the third season kicked off in June 2022.
On June 6, 2023, it was reported that filming for the fourth season had been delayed due to the writers’ strike. However, production resumed on January 19, 2024. New filming locations for season 4 include iconic spots such as the Crazy Horse venue, Sacré-Coeur, Monet’s house in Giverny, Stade Roland Garros, the Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine flea market, Piscine Molitor, and Paris’ Musée Baccarat. Additionally, scenes were filmed in Italy, with notable locations including Rome and Ostia Antica (referred to as Solitano in the show).
The first season of Emily in Paris was released on Netflix on October 2, 2020, with a DVD release following on November 9, 2021. The second season was made available on December 22, 2021.
The third season premiered at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris on December 6, 2022, and was released on Netflix on December 21, 2022. The fourth season premiered in two parts: the first premiered on August 15, 2024, followed by the second on September 12, 2024.
