Storyline:
Utilizing his paintings to find freedom from his past, a Black artist on the path to success is derailed by an unexpected visit from his estranged father, a recovering addict desperate to reconcile. Together, they struggle and learn that forgetting might be a greater challenge than forgiving.

The film premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2024, with subsequent screenings at New Directors/New Films on April 5, Sidewalk Film Festival on August 23, Nashville Film Festival on September 22, and São Paulo International Film Festival on October 17.
In April 2024, Roadside Attractions acquired distribution rights to the film, planning to release it theatrically sometime in the fall of the same year. The film began a limited theatrical run in the United States on October 18, 2024.
