About Movie:

Gemini Man is an American science fiction action thriller directed by Ang Lee, starring Will Smith in a dual role, alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong.

The film was originally conceived by screenwriter Darren Lemke in 1997 but spent nearly two decades in development, with several directors and actors, including Tony Scott, Harrison Ford, and Mel Gibson, attached at various points. In 2016, Skydance Media acquired the rights, and Ang Lee signed on to direct in 2017, with Paramount Pictures distributing.

Filming began on February 27, 2018, in Glennville, Georgia, with additional locations in Cartagena, Colombia, and Budapest, Hungary. The movie was shot at an ultra-high frame rate of 120 fps and in 3D, using modified ARRI Alexa cameras. The visual effects were led by Weta Digital, along with several other effects studios.

Released on October 1, 2019, Gemini Man received mixed reviews. While praised for its action sequences and performances, including the de-aging technology used on Smith, it was criticized for its plot and screenwriting.

The film grossed $174 million against a $138 million budget, leading to significant financial losses for Paramount. Despite its underperformance, it was nominated for Best Science Fiction Film at the Saturn Awards.
