Storyline:
The film follows the residents of a small island town who must navigate a sensational murder and the discovery of a million dollars, a series of increasingly bad decisions upend the once peaceful community.

Greedy People is an American comedy crime mystery film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lily James, Himesh Patel, Simon Rex, Tim Blake Nelson, Joey Lauren Adams, Uzo Aduba, and Jim Gaffigan.
Directed by Potsy Ponciroli and written by Michael Vukadinovich, the film’s cinematography is handled by Eric Koretz and Jamie Kirkpatrick does the editing.
The film was initially titled The Problem with Providence. In May 2022 it was announced that filming was started. Filming took place in Southport, North Carolina, between May 9 and June 11, 2022. In October 2023, it was retitled Greedy People.
In February 2024, Lionsgate acquired domestic distribution rights to the film; its Indian division also acquired distribution rights for India and the Philippines from Mister Smith Entertainment.
Greedy People was released in the United States on October 23, 2024.
