Ground Zero is a historical action-thriller drama film directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and written by Sanchit Gupta and Priyadarshee Srivastava. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Deepak Parmesh, Lalit Prabhakar, Rockey Raina, and Rahul Vohra.
Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment, the film was shot in Jammu and Kashmir and is inspired by the real stories of the Border Security Force (BSF).
Emraan Hashmi completed filming his portions on November 22, 2022.
The teaser was released on March 28, 2025. It opens with a warning from the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed to the Indian Prime Minister about the “freedom of Kashmir.” The video then depicts an attack on Indian soldiers, revealing that “70 soldiers were gunned down.”
