About High Five Movie
High Five is a South Korean action fantasy film directed and written by Kang Hyeong-cheol. The film has a cast that includes Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Ra Mi-ran, Kim Hee-won, Yoo Ah-in, Oh Jung-se, and Park Jin-young. High Five has been delayed several times due to multiple controversies involving conflicts with production and legal disputes.
In March 2021, Yoo Ah-in, Ra Mi-ran, Ahn Jae-hong, Oh Jung-se and Lee Jae-in were announced to have joined the cast of Hi.5, with Jinyoung also announcing his involvement in May 2021.
Principal photography started on June 1, 2021, and the majority of production happened in Songdo International Business District, Incheon, and Namhyeon-dong, Seoul, wrapping production on November 7, 2021.
Hi.5 was first tentatively scheduled for release in 2022, then moved to May 2023, but was postponed indefinitely when Yoo Ah-in tested positive for propofol and marijuana in February 2023. In June 2023, Next Entertainment World reported that they were having internal conversations on how to cut Yoo out and that they did not believe they could release the movie within the year.
On April 4, 2025, Next Entertainment World announced the company was preparing Hi.5 to be released in June and Yoo Ah-in would not be participating in the promotional schedule. The film was originally scheduled for release on June 3, but then changed to May 30.
