Human from Today Storyline (Plot)

The series follows the story of Eun-ho, a quirky gumiho who revels in the pleasures of the human world while deliberately avoiding good deeds to maintain her immortality. Eun-Ho embraces her eternal youth, savoring life’s delights without the burden of moral obligations.

Her carefree existence is upended when an unexpected incident involving Kang Si-yeol, a world-class soccer player known for his dazzling talent and overwhelming narcissism, alters the course of her life. Following a fateful accident, Eun-ho finds herself transformed into an ordinary human, forcing her to navigate the complexities of human emotions and responsibilities for the first time.

About Human from Today TV Series

Human from Today (오늘부터 인간입니다만) is an upcoming South Korean romantic fantasy drama, set to air on SBS in 2026 after being postponed from the initial 2025 airing. The series is directed by Kim Jung-kwon and co-written by Park Chan-young and Jo Ah-young. It stars Kim Hye-yoon as Eun-ho, a quirky nine-tailed fox (gumiho), while Lomon plays Kang Si-yeol, a world-class soccer player.

The series is directed by Kim Jung-kwon, an inspired director known for his works in successful dramas and films such as Ditto (2000), Miracle of a Giving Fool (2008), Lie After Lie (2020), Love to Hate You (2023), and Maestra: Strings of Truth (2023–2024). The script is co-written by the writing team of Park Chan-young and Jo Ah-young, who worked on the drama, Best Chicken (2019). The source material is produced by Binge Works and is planned by Studio S.

There were tons of casting buzz throughout 2024. In July, reports first appeared that Shin Se-kyung and Lomon were in discussions to land the lead roles. By mid-August, Kim Hye-yoon’s name had replaced Shin Se-kyung as a new candidate for the female lead role. Then in early September, SBS confirmed that Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon would be in the lead roles. Shortly after this news, the casting process was finished as Lee Si-woo and Jang Dong-joo joined the project.

Filming began in September 2024, and director Kim Jung-kwon posted on Instagram that the cast had their first script reading in September 2024, which showed how the process had now begun.

Kim Hye-yoon was a well-known actress for her performance in Lovely Runner, where she will be playing Eun-ho.

According to SBS and multiple news sources, the series is scheduled for release in 2025 and will air every Monday and Tuesday on SBS TV.
