Storyline:
Unable to get placed due to his backlogs and less-than-impressive projects, Vishnu is at a crossroads in his love life after his girlfriend decides to move on, as she can’t imagine a life with someone who has nothing going for him. After an encounter with her dad leaves him humiliated, Vishnu vows to take revenge on the former’s chit-fund company, using his cyber skills. Things turn complicated when an ethical hacker enters the fray.

I Am Kathalan marks director Girish A. D.’s fourth directorial venture. He announced the project on November 24, 2022, unveiling a title poster highlighting his collaboration with Naslen K. Gafoor and writer Sajin Cherukayil.
Principal photography began on December 29, 2022, in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, Kerala. The filming of I Am Kathalan took over 35 days to complete.
I Am Kathalan was released in theaters on November 7, 2024, receiving mixed reviews from audiences.
